'OK, how does it work ?'
The ethos of First Contact is simple, we provide both letting agents and landlords direct
an all encompassing solution to the maintenance of their property portfolio
We are not a Letting Agent and do not manage properties, this we leave to the specialist
Letting Agents. We simply provide all the services that Letting Agents are always left with
no alternative but to use one man and his van type suppliers. Our service is the complete
range from cleaning to Inventories, from Plumbing to Energy Certificates, we do it all!

'Is First Contact more expensive than local contractors ?'
Ok, this is a really good question and one that everyone asks. The answer is four-fold:
- Firstly, First Contact always uses their own staff or carefully screened and checked contractors local to the job so you do not end up paying for us travelling
- Secondly, we always check local prices and ensure we are charging the local market rate for a qualified contractor
- Thirdly, if we need to use contractors, we negotiate with the contractor to ensure that you pay the same price as going direct. For example:
Joe Bloggs Corgi plumber charges you say £50 + VAT per hour. We negotiate with him a reduced amount due to the volume that we can offer them, & therefore you still pay the same, we keep the difference, this funds our company. The benefit to you is a one stop solution regardless of what you need.
- Lastly, we have a ‘fixed menu price’ for the most common requested work so that you know how much you are paying before you order
